TableTime Waiter App

TableTime is the waiter/order-taking app for dine-in. Waiters open tables, build orders with modifiers, and send them straight to the kitchen (KDS/KOT). It works offline and over the local network, syncing with the POS.

Install, log in & connect to POS

  1. Install TableTime on the waiter’s Android/iOS device.
  2. Log in with Sum Cloud POS credentials.
  3. Select the branch; the app connects to the POS and downloads the menu and tables.

View & open tables

See the live floor plan with free/occupied tables. Tap a table to open it and start (or add to) an order. Table layout and colours match what you configured on the web.

Create an order, add items & modifiers

  1. Open a table.
  2. Search or browse the menu and add items.
  3. Choose modifiers (toppings, choices) when prompted.
  4. Adjust quantity and add item notes/remarks for the kitchen.

Send order to kitchen (KOT)

Tap Send to Kitchen — the order becomes a KOT that appears on the KDS and/or prints automatically on the kitchen printer. A second round for an already-seated table is flagged as a Running Order so the kitchen prioritises it.

Transfer/merge tables, update & cancel

From TableTime you can transfer and merge tables, update an order, and cancel an item (with the right permission). Changes reflect on the POS and KDS.

Request & print the bill

Request the bill for a table; the cashier settles it on the POS, or the waiter prints it where allowed (thermal ESC/POS). Remarks/kitchen notes carry across POS, TableTime, KDS and KOT.

Offline operation & synchronization

TableTime keeps working offline and over the LAN bridge, so orders still reach the kitchen with no internet. Everything syncs when connectivity returns.

The LAN bridge uses a fixed port contract between TableTime, the Desktop hub and KDS; keep the devices on the same network.

Frequently asked questions

How does a waiter send an order to the kitchen?
Open the table, add items and modifiers, then tap Send to Kitchen — it appears on the KDS and/or prints on the kitchen printer as a KOT.
Does TableTime work without internet?
Yes. It works offline and over the local network so orders still reach the kitchen, then syncs when the connection returns.
What is a Running Order?
A new KOT for a table that already has a prior KOT (the guests are already seated and eating). It is flagged and prioritised so the kitchen does not make them wait.
