Who Must Register with KPRA

Under the KP Sales Tax on Services Act 2022, businesses providing taxable services in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa must register with KPRA. The most common categories among our customers:

Restaurants and eateries
Hotels, guest houses, lodges
Wedding halls and caterers
Beauty parlours and salons
IT and consultancy services
Couriers and contractors

KPRA Registration in 5 Steps

The whole process is online through the KPRA website

Sign Up Online

Go to the KPRA e-registration portal and sign up using your FBR NTN and email address to create your account.

Complete Form REG-01

Fill in registration form REG-01 with your business details, service category and address information.

Upload Documents

Upload scanned copies of your NTN, CNIC, deed or incorporation certificate and address proof. Processing starts once all documents are received.

Receive Your KNTN

A reference number is generated and after verification KPRA issues your KNTN -- the KP sales tax registration number for all invoices and returns.

Issue QR-Verified Invoices

Every sale needs an invoice with your KNTN and tax shown, transmitted to RIMS with a verification QR code.

File Returns by the 18th

Monthly returns are due by the 18th of the following month. Late filing brings penalties and surcharge. Your POS report should match RIMS exactly.

Keep Records for Audit
